MikroTik RB5009UG+S+IN
Double the usual performance: we took your feedback from the MikroTik User Meetings to create the perfect home lab router: compact, powerful, with multiple powering options and efficient cooling.RB5009 has it all, and even more!
The board features 9 wired ports and a full-sized USB 3.0. Seven of the ports are Gigabit Ethernet, another one is 2.5 Gigabit Ethernet, and the last one is a 10G SFP+ cage. All the ports are connected to a powerful Marvell Amethyst family switch-chip with a 10 Gbps full-duplex line leading to the Marvell Armada Quad-core ARMv8 1.4 GHz CPU. Both CPU and the switch-chip are located on the bottom of the board – so the case acts as a massive heat-sink!
RB5009UG+S+IN can be powered in 3 different ways:
a) PoE-in from Ethernet port #1
b) DC Jack
c) 2-pin terminal on the side
Boards come with 1GB of DDR4 RAM and 1GB NAND storage. This combination of ports and components, compared to our other products in a similar form factor, provides almost double the performance in configurations with heavy CPU loads.
With a simple set of mounting accessories, you can mount FOUR of these routers in a single 1U rackmount space! No more server-room-Tetris, just pure productivity.
MikroTik RB5009UPr+S+IN
This version of the RB5009 has all the bells and whistles of the previous model: Gigabit Ethernet, 2.5 Gigabit Ethernet, and a 10 Gigabit SFP+ cage for fiber connectivity. It has the speed, the power, and the durability. But this time, we have added PoE-in & PoE-out on all eight Ethernet ports. Combined with the 2-pin connector and the DC jack, you’re getting 10 separate ways of powering. Dual redundant power supplies would usually take your uninterrupted uptime to the next level. RB5009UPr+S+IN takes it one step above that!
All power options support a wide voltage range of 24 – 57 V. However, you can not mix the voltages. If you’re using PoE-out to power other devices, the board will choose the source with the highest voltage (DC jack or the 2-pin connector) to power those.
Each PoE-out port can supply up to 25W of power. All the ports combined are limited to 130W, which should be enough for most setups. You can specify maximum available power from your power sources manually, if necessary. When it comes to PoE-out features, the new RB5009 can trade blows with our legendary PoE switches: CRS354 & CRS328. In the smallest possible form-factor and for the best price on the market!
Protect your uptime, protect your tranquility!
So what exactly happens if there is a problem with one of your power sources? Here’s a quick example: you have 24V on the DC jack, 48V on the 2-pin connector, and 57V on the PoE-in. The board itself gets powered by the highest voltage input – the PoE-in. If there’s a problem, RB5009 will fall back to the second highest voltage - the 2-pin connector. And if that fails – there’s the 24V option on the DC jack.
What about the PoE-out devices? Once again – the highest voltage wins. PoE-out devices will draw power from the 48V source on the 2-pin connector. If that fails – the 24V on the DC jack come into play. The board will always reserve 20 watts to power itself. If there is not enough power for all the PoE-out ports, it will start disabling the ones with the lowest priority. You can set the port priority manually.
This tiny form-factor shines anywhere: from confined research facilities and offices to huge corporate server rooms. And don’t forget that you can mount FOUR of these routers in a single 1U rackmount space
With the new RB5009, we want to empower all the small and medium ISPs that are always on the lookout for the most cost-effective and robust solutions. It is a perfect addition to our previous GPEN devices – a line of products designed to replace the expensive GPON solutions.
With so many powering options and a durable metallic case, the new RB5009 redefines affordable reliability.
MikroTik RB5009UPr+S+OUT - PoE Outdoor Router
Like the indoor version, this RB5009 has 7x Gigabit Ethernet ports, one 2.5 Gigabit Ethernet port, a 10G SFP+ cage, and a full sized USB3 port!
When we say “extensive power redundancy”, we really mean it: the unit offers 9 possible ways of powering. There’s a 2-pin power connector on the front, as well as PoE-in and PoE-out on all eight Ethernet ports. The board can use any of these sources to power itself, choosing the one with the highest voltage when multiple sources are available. RB5009 takes up to 21W to power itself. If you’re using PoE-in, the board will stay on even if 8 of your 9 power sources suddenly go down. Unprecedented redundancy! All power options support a wide voltage range of 24 – 57 V. However, you can not mix the voltages. Each PoE-out port can supply up to 25W of power. All the ports combined are limited to 130W, which should be enough for most setups. You can specify maximum available power from your power sources manually, if necessary. If you’re using PoE-out to power other devices, you have to provide power via the 2-pin connector to power those.
This product also features single voltage PoE-out – it can either be 802.3at/af compatible OR low-voltage PoE-out. That is determined by the voltage on the 2-pin connector, as no voltage conversion is done on this board. When it comes to processing power and available use-cases, this router can do it all: PPPoE termination, DHCP to customers, Local Queuing, MPLS Push/Pop/Swap and MPLS Forwarding, VPLS/VXLAN Termination, Hardware bridging, and so much more!
MikroTik RB951Ui-2HnD - Wireless Router
It has a 600MHz CPU,128MB of RAM and PoE output function for port #5 - it can power other PoE capable devices with the same voltage as applied to the unit. Maximum load on the port is 500mA.
Package contains RouterBOARD 951Ui-2HnD in a plastic case and power adapter.
MikroTik RBPOE - Passive POE Base Unit
Low-cost passive PoE base unit for powering passive PoE devices over ethernet. Simply connect your power source to the injector, and then use an ethernet cable to connect the injector to the RouterBOARD device. Helps reducing number of wires that lead up the tower, and in other situations.
For using with RouterBOARDS that support 10-28V PoE powering, input needs to be at least 18V to accomodate any losses in cables.
